We are looking for photography submissions to use in our 2012 phone books as well as on our website. The photos need to be high resolution using the specs below and can be submitted online or dropped off at our office on CD/DVD. This is a great opportunity to share your best photos and get them published in print or online.

We have a variety of needs when it comes to photos and just about anything goes. The photos can be of local scenery, current events, around town, historic landmarks, tourist destinations or people enjoying mother nature. We cover three major areas in Colorado; the Gunnison – Crested Butte Valley including Lake City, the Arkansas River Valley from Leadville to Buena Vista to Salida and the San Luis Valley which covers Saguache, Crestone, Del Norte, Monte Vista and Alamosa areas. If you have spectacular photos from any of these areas we would love to see them.

If your photos are used we will give you photo credit as well as the opportunity to have a short personal bio, photo and link to your website/blog in our “Photographer Section” on our website. We ask that you only submit photos that you are willing to let us use for a full year on our website and in our phone books.

Here are the technical details:

• Up 25 photos can be submitted
• Minimum size is 6×8 at 300 dpi  (1800 x 2400 pixels)
• Original .raw or .jpg files from camera preferred
• File format: .jpg, .raw, .tif, .psd
• All entries due by December 1, 2011

Photos can be submitted on CD/DVD or up to 10MB by email. It is usually best to make a folder of your photos that can be compressed into a .zip file before sending the photos over the internet. You can also create a free account with YouSendIt.com to send attachments up to 50MB.
